A genuine pleasure to read

A superb guide. The examples are small but complete.

This is the third book I have read on webgpu this year, and it is comfortably the best of them. A few of the examples could be more realistic, but the underlying points come across clearly. I particularly liked the way the author builds up from simple cases before introducing the harder material. The book rewards careful reading. Skimming it would be a mistake. This is the book I wish had existed when I started working with webgpu.

Decent, but uneven

It does the job, though it took some patience to get through.

I bought this on a whim after seeing it mentioned in a forum thread, and I am glad I did. The balance between theory and practice is well judged; neither side dominates. Some of the diagrams are dense and I had to reread a few sections, though that may just be me. Borrow it first if you can, or at least check the table of contents carefully before buying.

Good value, minor gaps

An enjoyable and informative read, though it could have been shorter.

There is a particular kind of technical book that is dense without being difficult, and this is one of them. Some of the material is available elsewhere, but rarely presented this clearly. I found myself making notes in the margins, which is always a good sign. Worth picking up if you already have the basics. Set realistic expectations and you will get a lot out of it.
